  • This rug is machine-woven from synthetic polypropylene fibers.

  • Vacuum thoroughly at least once a week with a low-pressure vacuum cleaner without beater bars. Flip rug upside-down to shake out excess debris.

  • For stains, make a solution of water, white vinegar and mild detergent. Apply the foam that rises to the top of the solution on the stained area with a clean cloth. Finish using a damp, clean cloth to absorb any residue.

  • Rug will arrive either rolled or folded depending upon size. Back-roll/reverse roll your rug and allow time for any creases to relax. Any "new rug smell" is completely normal! Air out in a well-ventilated area if necessary.

The SAFAVIEH California Shag collection brings a deep, unpatterned ivory surface to a room that needs softness more than it needs decoration. Each rug is power-loomed from polypropylene into a 2" pile, dense enough to recover its shape after furniture is moved across it. The polypropylene construction resists shedding, matting and everyday soiling, so the texture survives real use rather than only looking the part. California Shag suits a living room, bedroom or dorm room where the floor is somewhere people actually sit.
