The SAFAVIEH Paris Shag 511 collection is a plain ivory shag hand-tufted from polyester at 2 1/2", a deeper and softer hand than a power-loomed shag of the same height. Each rug is tufted rather than woven, which is what gives the pile its density and its recovery after weight. Polyester takes color cleanly and resists fading, and the depth is enough to sit on comfortably. Paris Shag suits a living room, bedroom or dorm room where comfort comes before formality.
